Await is a personal reflection tool. By using it, you agree to be respectful, to not abuse it, and to understand that it's provided as-is by an individual, not a big company with a legal team. If you don't agree to these terms, please don't use the app.
Await is operated by an individual ("we" or "us"). Contact: support@awaitroom.com
You must be at least 13 years old to use Await. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your password secure. You may not share your account or use someone else's account. If you are between 13 and 18, use Await with the awareness and permission of a parent or guardian.
You agree not to:
• Attempt to break, exploit, or reverse-engineer the app
• Use automated tools to abuse the app or its AI features
• Submit malicious content, spam, or content meant to harm other users
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Use the app for illegal purposes
• Resell or redistribute access to the app
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.
Await uses third-party AI (Anthropic's Claude) to generate suggestions and reflections based on the personal context you provide. AI output is generated by machine, may contain errors, and should not be treated as professional advice — not from a doctor, therapist, financial advisor, lawyer, or pastor. AI suggestions are for personal reflection only.
Some AI features also generate weekly summary letters, accountability partner messages, Your Person support prompts, or A Note You Left morning reflections using limited context. Those outputs are for personal reflection and encouragement only.
A Note You Left may read like a direct note from your past self to your present self. It is generated from your recorded Await data and may be lightly polished by AI. It may be imperfect, incomplete, or emotionally direct. It is not a command, diagnosis, or professional assessment, and you remain responsible for how you use it.
Your Weather and weather shift notes are part of the reflection data Await may use to generate daily prompts, A Note You Left, and weekly summary letters. They are not professional mental health assessments or diagnoses.
You are responsible for the choices you make in your life. Await is a tool for self-reflection, not a substitute for professional help. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified professional or call 988 (US Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).
If you send or receive AI-generated partner messages, remember that they are still messages between users. Use them with care. Do not use Await to harass, shame, manipulate, threaten, or pressure another person.
Await may offer optional notifications. You control whether notifications are enabled. Delivery depends on the app and operating-system notification settings, so we cannot guarantee every notification will arrive or arrive at the exact time shown.
You are responsible for the privacy of notifications shown on your own devices. If you share a device or screen, other people may be able to see notification text. You can disable notifications from Settings at any time.
You own everything you write in the app — your journal entries, context, deck items, all of it. By using the app, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process your content for the sole purpose of running the app on your behalf (including sending it to AI providers to generate your suggestions). We do not claim any ownership of your content and we do not use it to train AI models.
We try to keep Await running, but we make no guarantees about uptime, availability, or that the app will be free of bugs. The app may have outages, especially since it relies on third-party services (Vercel, Supabase, Anthropic). We are not liable for losses caused by downtime.
We may add, remove, or change features at any time. We may discontinue the app entirely, in which case we'll give you reasonable notice and a chance to export your data.
You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. Some content (like log files) may persist briefly after deletion before being purged.
AWAIT IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF AWAIT — EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100).
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in South Carolina.
We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we'll notify you via email or in-app notice. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated terms.
